The aim of the smart street lighting system is to control LEDs to turn on only when needed and to remain in a dim state otherwise. LEDs have been proved to be more energy efficient as well as a great way to fight against climate change [ 4 ].
The smart street light uses solar panels to detect the intensity of the sunlight. During the daytime the LEDs are turned off and during the night time the street lights are switched on and the light intensity is adjusted according to the conditions.
